Two of Dr. Adam's top administrators were Dr. Clinton Hamilton (next to Dr. Adams) and Dr. George Young. Dr. Hamilton, a native of Mississippi, came to the college as academic dean, but spent most of his quarter-century career there as executive vice president. Dr. Young, the vice president for student affairs, was the son of Virginia Young, chair of the Broward County Board of Public Instruction who also served as mayor of Fort Lauderdale.

The Broward County Commission in March 1982 leased to the college the vacant auto inspection station on Pembroke Road at University Drive for the aviation institute. BCC's Aviation Maintenance Technology program was the first public post-secondary program in the state. The program opened its doors in the fall term of 1982 to a class of 65. Dr. and Mrs. Jack Taylor greet students at a college event. Dr. Taylor, the dean of students, served as acting president until Dr. Blee arrived at JCBC. He and Dr. E.P. Lauderdale were the choices of many of the faculty and staff to succeed Dr. Rushing. After Dr. Blee arrived on campus, Dr. Taylor returned to his post, but Dr. Lauderdale resigned.

The tournament has also been held at Crystal Lake Country Club, the historic Fort Lauderdale Country Club, and Lago Mar Country Club.

Naugle has since gone on to become the mayor of Fort Lauderdale, Sanderson now serves in the Florida Senate, Milano is principal at Taravella High, and Trower is the CEO of the North Broward Hospital District.
